I go through phases where I am milking a lot of nuts.  Yes, that is what I said, milking a lot of nuts.  I am currently in one of those phases.

Over here in Italia my current breakfast is a green shake consisting of homemade almond milk, loads of spinach, half a banana,  Vitamineral Greens (for the that extra green punch) and a bit of green stevia (to balance out that extra green punch).  Somedays I add cinnamon or fresh mint, too.

I am making my almond milk daily or every other day as it can turn bad quickly, since there is no preservatives.  When you milk nuts, you get your milk and you also get nut pulp/flour.  I do not like to waste.  So, I always save the flour to be used for other things.  You can freeze it if you don’t plan on using it right away, which I often do, if I don’t have a plan for it.

At home I like to make raw biscotti and crackers with it, but that uses a dehydrator, which I do not have here.  So, I have been getting playful with my nut pulp.  Today, I wanted something a bit heavier for breakfast along with my ever present Green Shake, so I created a sort of cereal? Porridge?  I don’t what to call it, except perfectly hitting the spot.

If you haven’t met me and my unrecipe recipes yet…Welcome!  FYI… I rarely measure.

Medjool Dates (2-3)
Nut Pulp (whatever you milked! Hazelnut, Almond, Brazil) 1-2 cups?
Half a Banana
Cinnamon (loads, I like cinnamon)
tad of sea salt

All of it in the food processor and tada!  You may want to process dates first, to make sure they full get processed.

Want to milk your own nuts?  It is super easy and much better than drinking that stuff you buy at the store full of ingredients.
