cleanse

This Wednesday’s fuel was brought to me exclusively from Juice Served Here a newer juice company on the LA scene.   It was day 3 of a little 3 day cleanse and I was feeling great!

From the first time I saw their classy glass bottles, sassy juice names, and sleek design I was anxious to see if this company would really deliver and they do.  Creative juice blends, superb ingredients, huge variety, and the tastes are spot on.

IMG_8897The juices were delivered to my door at 6am and when I woke up the day started with the Brain Tonic, which is coconut, cucumber, and blue green algae.  Next is your juice of green juice.  Mine was the Green Heat, which was actually super easy to down, even with it’s kick.   Next up is the deliciously sweet Green milk, a sweetened almond milk, full of spinach.

Then you get to EAT a Superfood PowerBar!  I was afraid it be tasteless, but it was delicious.

Loaded with micro nutrients that will keep you going IMG_8907throughout the day. This addition to your cleanse includes Chia Seeds to improve stamina and increase energy, as well psyllium husk to bond with toxins in the colon walls, and safely remove them from the body.*

IMG_8908After the bar, Charcoal Lemonade was on deck.  The charcoal color and name was worrisome, but it really does taste like lemonade!  From there you get to order two cold-pressed juices of your choice.

I tried the Pipe Cleaner and a different green juice variety.

At dinner time there is a bottled soup that I did choose to warm up.  It really was the perfect satisfying meal.  The flavors balanced perfectly to cover any type of craving.  Well done Juice Served Here folks!

And the last beverage of the day, meant to drink before bed, is a cleansing tea… Which does it’s job.

Juice cleanses are always a bit challenging, because I just want to eat.  This one kept me satisfied and my energy was up the entire time.  I have tried a few different companies that offer the awesome service of delivering a stock of cold pressed juices and this one has my vote as my favorite so far.

This may be TMI but it is a juice “cleanse” and this is the first one that I have done that I truly was actively “cleansing”.  If you know what I mean.  That was actually the only thing that made it truly challenging.  There were a few times that I did not want to be more than a few feet away from my bathroom.  But, really that is a good thing.  It was working!

So that was my review of Juice Served Here and this week’s installment of What I Ate Wednesday.

P.S.  I love that I can bring back the bottles to the store and get a free juice for 10 empties!

P.P.S. I also love that at their shop the have the option to blend any juice with either a banana or nut superfood base to make it into a smoothie.
