It is a brand spanking new year!  And I have yet to set any sort of resolution, goals, intentions, or any of that and we are two weeks in!

Do I feel bad about it?  Do I feel like I slacked and now my year is going to suck because I didn’t start off 2016 with a journal entry of goals and reviewing my 2015?  Fuck no!

Why?  Because I am allowed to do that at any time I please.  The only thing wrong with not setting goals, resolutions, intentions, what have you’s on Day 1 of the first year, is making yourself wrong for not doing it!

Am I saying to give up goals of any kind?  To stop working to improve your own life experience?  To just say fuck it, life will hand me what it has in store for me, good or bad?

Not at all.

What I am saying is, well, a few things….

1).  Stop making yourself feel bad.  Seriously, just stop.  About your weight, about your wardrobe, about the state (of cleanliness) your house is in, about the amount of money in your bank, about your relationship status, about EVERYTHING!

2.) You can set an intention, create a goal, make a vow to STOP doing something any day of the year.  The more important thing isn’t when you set it, it is that you actively participate in your own goal/intention/dream on the regular.

3.) ENJOY YOUR LIFE.

I do plan on taking time, soon, and reflecting on all that was in 2015 and truly setting some sort of goals and intentions for 2016 for my business and my life in general.  But, I want to do it on my time.  When I truly have the time to be with it and not just force something out to say that I have my goals for the year.   What is the point in that?

Really there is so much that we do, just so that we can say that we did it and I am over that.  Be honest.  With others and most importantly with yourself.

I ask you this year to pay more attention to the WHY.  Why are you doing that?  Why do you want that?  If it is to please someone else or to be able to tell others about it…then maybe it really isn’t for you.

This year, do things for you. Because EVERYONE benefits when you do.  Even your little ones.  Fulfill yourself. Allow yourself to be lit up and the whole world will get to experience more light in their lives because of it.

You are awesome. You can do anything that you believe you can.  Really, you can.
