Today is one of those days when my sweet tooth is haunting me. I really don’t have any sweet indulgences at my new apartment except for apples. I haven’t even bought almond butter or raisins, which is usual accompaniments for my apples, when I have a sweet tooth emergency.
I tried to make the apple on its own be enough, but it was not. So, I opened up my cabinets and went to creating a quick little spread to make my apple that much more of a treat!
Finish product was…
2 TBLs of carob powder
1 tsp of coconut oil melted
a good dashing of Himalayan salt
1/2 tsp of maca
and just enough nut milk to make it into a paste consistency.
It ended up with a caramel-ish rich flavour! You can add honey, stevia, agave, or a sweetener of your choice, too.
I chose to top mine with fresh bee pollen too!
Enjoy!
