Titilayo Tinubu Ali is an attorney, writer and education advocate. She directs research and policy at a foundation whose mission is to advance high-quality public education so that all students have the opportunity to succeed, regardless of their race or income. Titilayo previously practiced employment law and counseled businesses on creating inclusive and supportive workplace policies. She began her career as a writer and communications consultant for nonprofits and social causes.

Titilayo has mentored professionals throughout her career and founded the Own Your Expertise® professional development program when she realized many of her capable colleagues lacked flexibility and freedom in their careers because they didn’t have the business skills to work for themselves. The program has helped professionals land their first clients, negotiate higher consulting fees, turn their first profits, and cross six figures in revenue. Titilayo has conducted trainings for corporations and educational institutions including Square, BumbleBizz, King & Spalding, Hello Alice and Ms. JD.

Titilayo earned her B.A. from Spelman College, M.A. from Columbia University and J.D. from UC Berkeley School of Law. She lives in Atlanta with her husband and twin boys.
