Jeff is a thought follower, reformed cynic and a lover of people’s differences.  He is currently bringing forth a new philosophy of business

In this episode we talk about:

  • growing up as the shy twin brother with his brother in the social director role
  • thinking he would be a monk and studying Buddhism and Zenism in high school
  • his father being in a traumatic car accident and how that led him on a spiritual journey that rubbed off on Jeff
  • knowing early on he wanted to contribute to others and make a difference in other’s lives but not knowing how he would do that
  • moving to Colorado with his brother and buying a failing golf course and turning it around and other businesses
  • having an epiphany on how anyone can get good at running a business but there has to be a way to run a business and have it lining up with your true vision and not just be a rat race and competition using the same common knowledge
  • selling his companies after taking a transformational course and being called to immerse himself in the learning and start to lead it also
  • why he is so drawn to ontology and phenomonality
  • being-ness and consciousness
  • how we are often not aware that we are bringing a perspective to everything
  • what personal responsibility is and how it frees us
  • seeing that he was living his life trying to win his father’s attention and approval and how uncovering that changed his life
  • how choice is the ultimate form of acceptance
  • training for nearly 7 years to lead the programs that changed his own life and what that looked like once he was leading it around the world for over a decade
  • realizing even though he loved what his work was seeing that if he didn’t make changes in his life we would end up with some serious regrets so leaving with no idea what he would do next
  • seeing that professionals and so many suffered personally in order to have success professionally, feeling they just had to keep working harder and harder
  • creating a course for people to revolutionize their work and having it align their career with what they want their life to be about
  • how the marketplace rewards uniqueness
