It is winter. In most parts of the country it is frigid. Here in California, it was 80 today. But it still gets cooler here at night and my house locks in the cold. So, even if it tank top weather outside, inside I am often wearing fleece lined slippers, a hoodie and a knit hat.
One really comforting, warming practice that I love is to use an old fashioned Water Bottle.
Put some hot water from the kettle in your bottle and place it on your belly with a towel to absorb the extra heat.
At night time, I put it in my bed to warm up my spot in bed, so that when I get in it is already cozy and warm.
The water bottle is also great for those timely cramps and for easing digestion issues. To speed up and get rid of stomach discomfort you can rub some castor oil directly on your belly and then put the warm water bottle on top. In my experience this nips my discomfort in the bud in 20 minutes or less.
So whether you are ailing, or chilly, or just wanting some extra comfort…warm yourself up with a hot water bottle!
