Birth Month Giveaways continue!
I was first introduced to Spoken Glass water bottles in April of 2008. I was in rehearsals for the Music, Magic, Makepeace Tour featuring Jason Mraz, Bushwalla, The Makepeace Brothers and Justin Kredible (Willman). Conor, the owner and also the bass player of the Makepeace Brothers, brought Spoken Glass bottles for all of use to use on tour.
I was immediately in love with the bottles, especially because of the affirmation words engraved on them, but I made them out to be a bit impractical. I was afraid to actually use it. What if it fell over and broke?
I quickly got over that fear as soon as I took my first drink of water from it. I had already been on the reusable water bottle bandwagon for years. Going from nalgene to bpa free plastic to aluminum, but drinking from this lovely glass bottle, water never tasted so good! On top of the taste (and of course that there is no possibility of random leaching from plastic or aluminum products) another plus is that mouth piece is the perfect size. Not too big that water is dribbling down my chin, or splashing onto my nose. It is just right.
From then on, I have always had a Spoken Glass bottle as my choice in water bottle. I have traveled the world over and over again with my glass bottle. I take it with my everywhere. It sits in my purse and walks all over town with me.
I love these bottles and Conor so much that I wanted to introduce you to them both.
Tricia: Conor, what inspired you to create and sell these bottles?
Conor: My main inspiration was to get people off of plastic, and second was to have people be inspired and reminded by the affirmations of the amazing life they live.
T: Why glass?
C: There is nothing like drinking water out of glass! Even people who don’t believe in affirmations have told me, ‘water out of your bottles just tastes better’!!
T: How do you pick the sayings that are engraved on the bottles?
C: I looked at what affirmations resonated deepest with me and I thought could make a difference for other people in their everyday lives. I want reminders every day to be love and grateful an the breathe, so others must feel the same.
T: Any new ones to come?
C: There is a whole new batch of words and designs to come this year! I am inspired to make 2011 the best year ever for spoken glass! We are now offering custom designed bottles, engraving on iPhones, iPods, computers, notebooks, and many more.
T: What do you want to acknowledge yourself for today?
C: I want to acknowledge myself for being love and putting being love at the highest level of living for myself. When I am present to love that’s when I know I am in the flow of life!
Besides being the owner of Spoken Glass and the bass player for The Makepeace Brothers, Conor also produced, directed and co-stars in a documentary film called May I Be Frank. Yeah, he is one amazing fellow that I am proud to call my friend, scratch that, my brother.

I LOVE the abundance bottle, there is a scripture that has always spoken to me, John 10:10 “I have come that they may have LIFE, and have it more ABUNDANTLY.” It is my guide to an abundant life! I tweeted this for love, education, and a grateful spirit to you!

I tweeted and put link on my facebook! I would have to say if I would win, I’d have to choose the Gratitude water bottle. I use a reusable water bottle at work everyday so this one would help give me encouragement everytime a take a sip though out the day.
I would pick the gratitue one. Gratiude is the easiest thing in the world to do but so easy to forget. What a great daily reminder!
1 and 3 are done!
I LOVE THESE BOTTLES AND CONOR! I’ve always wanted a bottle and would love, love, love to have the gratitude bottle. Gratitude is something that I not only practice daily but encourage everyone I love to practice as well. I’m grateful to people like you and Conor for reminding me to continue practicing gratitude and make affirmations part of my daily diet of spiritual growth. Like you and Conor, I’d like to migrate away from my nalgene and sigg bottles. A natural marketer, I know I’ll end up telling everyone around me about Spoken Glass and Your Joyologist just by having the bottle on me at all times! When I get excited about something, it’s infectious! I already follow both of you on Twitter and will go tweet about this now. Even if I don’t win, continued GOOD LUCK to both of you as you pursue your awesome endeavors of spreading love and consciousness!
It’s hard to pick one b/c I’m drawn to many for various reasons. I guess Abundance if I had to pick oh no maybe Joy, hmmm!
Happy today!
I have been in LOVE with the gratitude bottle since day 1!.
I am grateful every single day for all that I am, all that I have and everyone I know.
I am gratitude.
Super floored about this giveaway! Ready to make the switch from my Sigg to a Spoken Glass bottle! I would pick BREATHE, to remind myself to engage in the soul replenishing action while replenishing my body with pure H2O! Two for the price of one! Thanks for opening my eyes to Spoken Glass and The Makepeace Brothers!
Thank you so much for all of your amazing giveaways. I adore the Spoken Glass bottles and what they stand for and show. I would choose the “Gratitude” design because I am grateful for everything I have in life, including the ability to always get fresh, clean water whenever I want it. Namaste, Clare. xx
I think if I had to choose one glass bottle, I would definately choose the “Gratitude” bottle. I love the idea that ever time I take a drink from my bottle, I would literally be drinkig from and of Gratitude. It’s so symbolic of the way we should live life…drinking in every moment with Gratitude!
I have tweeted (@plove143) as well linked you to my FB page! (http://www.facebook.com/#!/profile.php?id=1193430086)
Hello! I just entered by tweet and would love to enter again here. Im an avid SIGG user but would love to step up to glass and donate my SIGGS to someone who still uses plastic! And if possible, Id love to design my own, just to be able to have something unique and created for me.
I would love to have the Breathe bottle because I think its a wonderful reminder to stop and just be. I would also love to have a bottle that says Be Love. 🙂
During 2010 I went through a “rough patch” in life. Those trials led me to learn what elements of my life were healthy and unhealthy – mentally, emotionally, and physically. I have recently started the process of cleansing my life and making healthy changes… out with the old and in with the new. I am eating healthier, focusing on happiness and gratitude, learning to love myself just the way I am. Part of my cleansing process has been to start living a cleaner, healthier life – both for myself and the environment. A Spoken Glass bottle would be a great (and greatly appreciated) addition to my personal cleansing process.
I choose the Gratitude bottle, because recently I have learned to be grateful for everything life has to offer.
I posted the link on Twitter (including mentioning @beingtricia and @conorbelove – both of whom I follow) and Facebook (tagging Your Joyologist – who I “liked” many months ago)!
Tweeted, liked, reposted and hoping!
I must say, I had a hard time choosing, but I decided with the ABUNDANCE bottle. We always have enough to share. When somone asks you for a piece of gum and you say you only have one left, so what? Just give it to them. You can always get more and why does the only piece left have to be for you? It doesn’t. We need to have an abundance of gratitude, an abundance of love, an abundance of joy – an abundance of life. We can make enough. (yes, I followed conor, was already following you, I tweeted about the giveaway, and if I had a facebook, I would do entry 3) Thank you Tricia and Conor!!!
gratitude, easy peasy. to match the tattoo of the same word on my body 🙂
there’s just never too many opportunities for thankfulness, i’d say!
Hi Tricia –
I tweeted (@cuterummer), posted on facebook, and now posting here.
I would love to win the gratitude bottle because I like having a reminder that there’s always something to be grateful for… I even have the Cafe Gratitude bumper sticker! 🙂

I would love to have a “Gratitude” Spoken Glass bottle! Everyday I express gratitude and say “thank you” to the universe for my life. I would love that glass bottle as a reminder to be grateful all the time (even during classes)… 🙂

Love the Gratitude bottle…so much to be grateful for in life, but sometimes a reminder is needed.
Grateful for the opportunity to win one 😉
Oh, just realized I’m not eligible since I’m in Canada….good luck everyone!!
I LOVE those bottles! Mine would say GRATITUDE 🙂 It had been my word of choice for the last year and has been a great reminder of everything I believe in. Having one of these bottles would mean the world to me! good luck to everyone!!!
The concept of these bottles is magical ! What an eco-lovin, inspiration sayin kind of artwork. Thank you so much for giving so much of yourself in each bottle. I would be honored to drink from this and let everyone know the story and to keep passing it along…. thank you again !! Heather
It’s tough to pick just one that doesn’t have meaning. I think I’d have to go with “Breathe” because it’s something I feel like I’m always forgetting to do. I’ve been working on it though, instead of stressing immediately I try to remember to take deep breaths and be calm and just move on. Just Breathe.
Oops, forgot to include that I also tweeted and facebooked like you so kindly asked.
I need the BREATHE bottle! It reminds me of my favorite Tristan Prettyman song! Love the line!
I added it on my Facebook!
Ok now I’m your twitter friends and I posted there! I’ve loved your blogs for a while now and can’t wait to have one of these cool water bottles!
I would love, love, love the Gratitude Spoken Glass bottle. In the summer of 2009, I went through this incredible transformation following my graduation from college. Having always struggled with finding positives in my life, I realized that I was surrounded by an abundance of them, all of the time. I had just been keeping myself blind to them because I felt I didn’t deserve them. Immediately, I realized how grateful I was for everything in my life that had lead me to that point – even the bad, even the risk of taking my own life, all of it. I was grateful. And I carry that gratitude with me still, every day, to remind me while I’m still around.
Also, I linked on my FB page!
Oh how I would love to win one of these bottles! Sure would beat the heck out of my recycled juice bottle with marker that I’ve been using….the top is rusting and the marker has faded. LOL
I checked out the Spoken Glass website (so glad it’s finally up and running but I still don’t see a way to actually order one on the site). It’s difficult to decide which one – it comes down to love or gratitude. Probably go with love – that’s what it’s all about after all….and the bottle is so pretty!
I follow and I’m a fan already, but I will go now and post announcements.
Thanks for another great giveaway Tricia!! 🙂
I love the idea of drinking my pure water from the Gratitude bottle. To experience gratitude and appreciation in to experience the Divine. I look forward to both the constant reminder to actively pursue this experience and expression in my life, and to drink water infused with this powerful energy. I am so excited about these beautiful glass bottles. What a find!
to order you email him I believe via the contact page. 🙂
I would choose the GRATITUDE bottle to remind me that no matter what circumstances I am facing, there is ALWAYS a reason to be thankful. As you have taught me Tricia, we choose how to see the world and we choose how the world sees us. Love to you and Conor. Xoxo
I received the bottle today and I love it! Can’t wait to start using it. Thanks!!!
I live in Austin and drive my car everywhere. Unfortunately, the water bottle does not fit in my cup holders. I was bummed until I realized I could use it for something else. Ran to Michael’s to buy little mosaic pieces to fill my bottle. Now my bottle sits by my bed. As I do things that I feel are benefiting me to live my best life I add a mosaic piece. It’s the first thing I see every morning and last thing I see at night. Thanks for all you do!!
Fun Ginger! I used to use mine when I lived in California and drove and just found a new place for it to fit. Even on the floor. Because I am that committed to using my Spoken Glass bottle! Nothing better! (in my mind) haha Xo
