Since the first episode is a little behind the scenes, this feels like my first episode and it was the first one I recorded!
Jason and I unintenionally talked for three hours so we turned it into two episodes, and honestly I still have more I want to talk with him about so will likely have him back on! I can definitely tell that Jason is a pro at being interviewed and I am a novice at interviewing (it was my first!)..but I really love this conversation and it’s all learning, right?!
In these episodes we talk about:
- The quote “Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.” and reference my I call bullshit video on this quote.
- What I taught my daughter work is.
- When Jason realized he could make a career out of playing music and how he was extremely intentional in making it happen.
- His aha around what people think of him and my theory of the only judge of me is me as I break down in this I call bullshit video.
- What inspired him to start taking better care of himself and choose a healthier more mindful lifestyle.
- What inspired his beginner tattoo and the meaning behind it.
- Yes vs. No
- The inspiration behind his album YES!
- Why I don’t use the word should and how and why I shift it (read more about that here)
- How we finds creativity in everything.
- His morning routine, check out his yoga playlist here
- Astrology, Jason’s astrologist, Nova can be found here, yep you can schedule your own session with her!

Hi Tricia, thank you for creating this podcast. My wife and I enjoyed both episodes on a recent road trip. We found the conversation between you and Jason really engaging and inspiring!
Please keep creating more great interviews!
Loved the Jason Mraz episodes. Hearing so many bits of his life’s journey to this point, tied with the interviewer having been part of his journey for a solid amount of time, really engaged me as a listener.
