This year I have received some truly great greeting cards. For most of my life, I did not understand the point of cards. Weren’t they just something for you to know who the present was from? I never, ever, bought them or gave them myself.
Over the last few years though, I started to get it. Perhaps, it was due to days off in random cities and countries with time to wander around aimlessly in shopping malls and hot spots. Perhaps, it was due to the sudden overwhelming excitement I got when receiving anything in the mail, myself, especially after barely having an address to send things to for the last 7 years. Perhaps, the love of greeting cards, just comes with age?
Anyhow, I am pleased to have received some really great, meaningful, loving cards this year. One card in particular struck me deep into my soul. I was touched that my friend, Tina, chose this card specific for me and also ultra inspired and impressed with whoever had created this card.
So, I looked it up! This touching card is made by Curly Girl Design and she has an entire line of equally adorable magnets, cards, sticky notes, T-shirts, napkins, and more!
The creator, Leigh, also runs a blog called The World According to Curly Girl: Delightfully Imperfect Living & Other Marvelous Things. How much do you love that title? Delightfully Imperfect Living!
PS. I am currently in the works for creating my own line of merchandise (magnets, notecards, wall decals, and more), but have no idea how to go about doing it, so if any of you creatives have tips, please share away with me! I can reprogram a digital mixing console, run monitors for 16 band members at once, but creating a jpeg (?) image is confusing to me! haha.
This gal has an e-course. Don’t know if it is what you are looking for but she has successfully transitioned to the retail market.http://kellyraeroberts.com/ecourses/
